Celebrating Easter at Home

During these trying times, we are called to celebrate the most sacred days of the Church year in our domestic church: our homes. Though this can be seen as a challenge, it can also be seen as an opportunity for amazing grace and to encounter the Lord in ways we never imagined. May our hearts be open to see the Lord working in our lives hear and now.

Every home can transform itself in a little church. Not only in the sense that in them must reign the typical Christian love made of altruism and of reciprocal care, but still more in the sense that the whole of family life, based on faith, is called to revolve around the singular lordship of Jesus Christ.” (Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI)

How we will enter into this Sunday will be different for each home and each family. To assist in this effort to live out our Faith to the fullest extent possible, we’ve compiled a variety of resources and websites on this page. These resources come from St. Joseph, from other parishes throughout our diocese and country, and from various Catholic resources available online. Though not exhaustive, we hope it will aid you during this time to live liturgically and challenge you to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
